I am Fabrizio Vinciguerra, a Sicilian photographer born in 1983.
Photography makes me happy because, while I am looking through the camera, everything else disappears. There is only the scene in front of me, the possibility it contains and the responsibility of representing it as honestly as I can.
I do not photograph a place simply to document its appearance. I look for the moment in which light reveals something that, only a few seconds earlier, could not be seen.
This approach began with landscapes, forests, waterfalls and volcanic lands, but it is not limited to them. The same search can exist in a city, in an everyday gesture, in a person waiting or in a fleeting human expression.
